We are seeking forexperienced Cooks (Indian Cuisine) for VT Station and showcase their flair for tandoori techniques and all other aspects of Indian cooking.

To be considered, candidates must have a minimum of 3 yearsexperience in cooking different styles of Indian Cuisine. We want candidates who are hardworking, creative, passionate and organised. Being a team player and understanding how a busy kitchen operates is essential, as is exceptional time management and the ability to cope with a high-pressure environment on busy nights. Relevant qualifications in cooking or culinary arts may substitute the experience, but knowledge and experience with preparing Indian dishes are strongly preferred. You will also be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays. The position is a Full-time, permanent position, min. 30 hours p/w, Pay rate $25-30 ph

Job tasks and responsibilities:
Ensure dishes are prepared in accordance with traditional Indian methods and requirements

Food preparation and cooking, plating, and presentation. Prepare raw ingredients for menu items, according to customers orders.

Manage hygiene and safety standards in accordance with New Zealand health and safety requirements

Able to work effectively under pressure
