The Senior Category Buyer is responsible to source the industrial equipment, spare parts and services used to brew beer for all our breweries across Europe. You will be responsible for the full sourcing process for this category from end to end. What will you be doing:
  • Be part of the team which negotiates around 200Mio USD in CAPEX (new industrial equipment) and 70Mio USD per year in OPEX (Spare parts and Technical Services for WEZ)
  • Define the strategic and tactical plan for your scope and ensure execution in terms of sourcing, negotiation, implementation and contract/performance monitoring
  • Generate savings and capture other benefits (payment terms, sustainability etc) through the point above
  • Lead Sourcing Process (Tender, e-Auction, Negotiations) within the framework of the Category and Sourcing Strategies.
  • Provide input on local supply market, demands and forecasts, assess continuously market environment, supply base, and identify major industry trends and threats.
  • Collaborate with functional budget owners and work closely with the Category Manager and Global Procurement Team.
  • Monitor contract performance and take appropriate corrective actions when needed
  • Connect with and coach the Spot buyers in the shared service center so they execute smaller tenders and spot buys according to the plan you put in place for the category
  • Drives continuous improvement in their scope. The senior buyer is responsible to identify risks and opportunities and drive actions accordingly.
What you'll bring:
  • 3+ years working experience in a Procurement role where you have strategic (category strategy setting, sourcing plan definition) and tactical responsibilities (negotiations, SRM, stakeholder management etc.)
  • Project management skills and ability to manage complex cross-country, cross-functional scope is required
  • Technical background (engineering, brewing or packaging experience) is a plus
  • Curious and innovative mindset with the ability to build strong internal and external partnerships
  • Eager to drive our aspiring sustainability agenda
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Advanced PC and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English – any other main European language us a plus
