GLOBAL IT SERVICE DESK MANAGER
Location: Guangzhou, China
Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Global IT Service Desk Manager to join our IT team, sat within our office in Guangzhou, China.
As a member of the regional IT team in our Guangzhou location, we are looking for someone to work alongside the Group Head of IT Operations.
The Role:
We seek a talented, qualified, and experienced IT Service Desk Manager to:
- Be the owner of the central IT Service Desk capability including responsibility of its IT Service Management (ITSM) operating processes, ITSM tooling and continual services improvement.
- Have a strong understanding of Incident/problem/change processes.
- Operational and resource management to align with business needs and contractual agreements.
- Participate in regular Performance Appraisals and oversee appraisal of NAE Global IT Service Desk staff as required.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- Strong administration, organisation, and team leadership skills
- Exposure and understanding in working with both distributed and centralised operating models
- Willingness to learn and evolve
- Experience of working in the international education sector or comparable business area
- Ability to understand/break down complex issues into tangible manageable assigned tasks where required
- Experience in information technology with strong operational knowledge and experience of service management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exposure to ITSM tools, collaborative tools and enterprise level applications e.g. Azure AD, MS Office365, VPN, Cloud services, security compliance
- An understanding of infrastructure, networks, security, endpoint devices
- Experience of Budgeting, strategic forecasting within a large organisation (desirable)
- Experience and understanding of service and people management delivering against high levels of customer expectations
- Exposure to working cross time zones and cultures
