Job Summary
Avantor is looking for a passionate and customer-centric Sales Specialist-Chemicals and Chromatography to join our Sales - Application & Technical team in Helsinki, Finland!
As a Sales Specialist, you will ensure the achievement of customer satisfaction and business goals.
This role will be a full-time permanent position, remote focused on our customers (Pharma, Health care and F&B industries) in all of Finland. Most of the time, you will be on the field visiting our customers. The rest of the time you can work remotely. You will have the opportunity to bring together your communication and negotiation skills to find the best solutions for our customers. The team
Avantor’s Sales - Application & Technical team is part of our Sales business unit, building and managing meaningful relationships with our customers. The Sales - Application & Technical team consists of 5 dedicated associates driving sales performance by developing products to meet customers' requirements.
What we’re looking for
  • Education: You have a degree or equivalent in Chemistry/Ingineering or industry related background.
  • Experience: Business-to-business sales experience and/or lab experience and/or previous experience within chromatography is a benefit.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in fast-paced complex sales environment with a proven track record of verifiable sales success is nice to have
  • Prior distribution experience and/or work experience in a laboratory/ research environment is preferable
  • Fluency in oral and written Finnish and English is required, other languages are a plus
  • Strong negotiation skills are essential
  • Ability to envision and propose value-adding solutions for customers, focusing on the big picture and assisting in project developments

  • Build strong partnership relationships with customers and sales teams to enhance competitive advantage and customer satisfaction.
  • Offer continuous technical sales support to customers on product and services, provide equipment demonstrations and start up support where possible.
  • Meet sales targets within Chemical products/ chromatography consumables/instruments by effectively deploying of CRM database and local/ global internal contacts.
  • Demonstrate strategic agility in customer interactions, frequently calling to create sales opportunities, understanding customer profiles, and identifying trends to generate sales.
