Heartbeat: Building a virtual power plant levering our energy manager “Heartbeat” and evolving the customer experience app around this.Operating System for installation companies: Digitisation of operations and processes from ground operations to rooftop installations.
At 1KOMMA5°, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our growing team. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technological landscape, defining engineering best practices and driving innovation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Contribute to the organisation's technical strategy and innovation efforts.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise across independent tech teams.
Mentor and support engineers in their professional growth.
Build and shape a tech org and culture from the ground up.
Oversee architecture and design of software systems.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting complex technical challenges.
Participate in the recruitment process.

Your profile
You have:
Extensive experience in software development with multiple general-purpose programming languages for a minimum of 5 years.
A proven track record of architecting scalable and secure systems, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality.
Experience in designing and implementing APIs, ensuring efficient communication and integration between software components.
An agile and result-oriented mindset, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork.
Expertise in talking with stakeholders in business terms and understanding the technical implications of their requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in German considered a plus.
Bonus points for:
Experience with IaC (ideally Terraform)
Interest in climate tech industry
