Sustainability Coordinator for Community Clinic Network [United States]


 
Description

Reporting indirectly to the Admin Dir of Sustainability and directly to the Sustainability Programs Manager, the Sustainability Coordinator for the Community Clinic Network will perform administrative duties, including coordinating with relevant clinical and support departments of UCLA Health’s Ambulatory Care Services to implement sustainability best practices aligning with UC Sustainability Policies. The Sustainability Coordinator is tasked with developing and implementing a Green Clinic/Unit Certification (GCC) program, including the coordination and communication of site audits, walkthroughs, and assessments. Specific tasks may include communicating with Clinics and Units through the Certification process, evaluating survey responses, coordinating meetings, creating and delivering visual presentations, best practice resources, and narrative for programmatic and annual reporting. The role will also provide administrative and general Sustainability Department support and communication, as well as support for other programmatic needs, including leadership support. This position will require significant travel within UCLA Health’s service areas, which include ambulatory clinic locations across Los Angeles County, including but not limited to travel to Ventura, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties. Work will be performed in a hybrid-remote environment, with approximately 50% of time designated for site visits to clinics across UCLA Health’s service areas. The candidate must be able to pass internal approvals for driving UCLA and UCLA Health owned vehicles. Salary Range: $56,300 - $120,900/annually

Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years experience, experience in healthcare and familiar with medical terminology preferred. * Ability to present a pleasant and customer-oriented demeanor at all times. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools in order to type correspondence, prepare reports, and prepare presentations of materials. * Working knowledge of UC sustainable practices policies, current environmental concerns (e.g. climate change), and healthcare sustainability challenges. * Strong composition and writing skills, including knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofreading, and usage, in order to write clear, concise and logical correspondence, reports, summaries, notes and instructions. * Experience in change-management, process improvement, and public speaking. Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction. * Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive personnel information. * Skill in establishing priorities to complete work in a timely manner despite changes in workload or assignment, pressures of deadlines, or competing requirements.
